Completion of the Experiential Three-day Competition Stress Management by the Fencing Club "Lygas Pentelis"
With great success and enthusiasm was completed the Experiential Three-Day Management of Competition Anxiety organized by the Fencing Association "Lygas Penteli" at its training center, on December 16, 18 and 20.
The program was implemented with the lecturer Marios Yakoumatos, Psychologist and World Fencing Champion, who guided the athletes in a meaningful and experiential framework of work on the management of competitive stress and understanding of emotions during the competition.
Over the course of the three days, club athletes worked in conditions that simulated real competition, focusing on emotions, concentration, decision making and maintaining consistent performance under pressure. The training sessions were combined with practical psychological management techniques applied by high-level fencers.
The response of the athletes was very positive, with active participation, interest and willingness to work hard throughout the programme. The last day was concluded in a very pleasant atmosphere, with a buffet offered by the Club to the participants.
The Fencing Club "Lygas Pentelis" continues to invest in the global development of its athletes, recognizing that psychological preparation is a key pillar of competitive development and success.
